feel the same way about Denver, it's distance to the mountains is the only positive

over 330 sun shiny days a year. Great public transportation. All the major sports. Light rail stops at/near all 3 stadiums/arena. Great beer, good hunting, lots of hot women, awesome outdoor amphitheatre, a plethora of outdoor activities.

My man

Everybody is different. Most people I know are happy in Louisiana but I always wanted more. Denver is a perfect fit for me. All my family left Louisiana so it got to the point where I had to make a move and went with Denver over Austin. Seattle was also in the mix but it was hard to get a job there while in Louisiana. Heading to Fort Collins to boulder, climb, and grab some beers afterwards in a few minutes. Life is good here

Can't believe the number of people that want to live in DC.

Good job market, but what's the attraction otherwise?

yep, and they're entitled to their opinion and how they want to live. Was just pointing out some factual positive points about the city.

eta...enjoy your new life

Can't believe no one has agreed with my original suggestion of Minneapolis. I get it's cold but the place is awesome. Anyone ever been there?

i have two very good friends from there ... every winter, they look at the temps and remember how cold it is ... when you have to put on mountain gear and cover every single square inch of skin just to walk out and get the paper, it's freakin cold ...

I can't believe the Walker/Denham Nirvana has not been mentioned.

Seriously, a Winter and Summer scenario would work out OK for me: NOLA or NW Fla for Winters and Asheville or Jackson Hole or the Star Valley or Logan, UT.

California is the singular most stunning state from a variety of geography, San Diego would be an OK place to live up year-round.
