I never understood why this debate is so big, the evolution vs creation one. Who cares if we came from a chimpanzee or are the product of butt sex or all decendants of Adam and Eve or the Tribes of Judah or whatever. Why not focus the thinking capacity of these scholars on tangible, contempeary problems instead of busying ourselves with shite that happened millions of years ago.
Uh......Not sure if serious...

It's like, if I'm ordering a cake to feed a certain number of people, and the bakery offers me one cake that's too big, I might say that I want a cake that's twice as small which means the same thing as half as big or half the volume.
The better analogy is to say that if someone only has $10 today, and they will be twice as poor tomorrow, how much money will they have? Poor is not really a thing, it just indicates a lack of money just as cold only indicates a lack of heat. It would make much more sense to ask that person how much money they would have if they have lose half their money tomorrow.

Why can't heat be a lack of cold?

Seriously, what difference does it make what we came from? Is it going to change the way you or anyone you know go about their daily lives? When you come to the final answer how much better are you or society for all the hours of research and studying you put in? What changes to life as we know it will come about if absolutely know where we came from. Yes I'm serious, care to answer? Or do you just have common internet response of...not sure if serious...with the edition of Heath Ledger as the joker.

So it's safe to say you're not the most inquiring man, Chet?

Then why do we still have Monkeys and Apes?
read up on the DNA differences between Humans and Apes. It is some incredibly interesting stuff.

Most genes in humans and chimps are nearly identical. Both species have the OPN1LW gene, which allows them both to see the color red. But mice lack OPN1LW--and have trouble seeing red.
Vyvanse is awesome for learning random facts about the world and universe. I think it helped drive me closer to atheism (have no problem with most religious people)

So we should abandon quests for knowledge because it might not make a difference?
Terrible

And it does make a difference. Understanding evolution is pretty key for understanding medicine and microbiology at large.

Also, If it's zero degrees outside today and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be?
It is a measure of energy, so take this at zero and slow it down

Or, thanks to evolution, we have the ability to have multiple ideas in our head at the same time
Not to mention the benefits that search has brought to us in medicine and technology.
Also, I the daily lives of almost everyone on the planet would be GREATLY different if we solved the puzzle.
