So my kids found and captured a giant spider.

This thing is definitely the biggest non-tarantula spider that I've ever seen.

And it's swarming with tiny spiders

Now, like many of you, the first thought that entered my mind was

But then, I thought about that old adage,

"When life gives you giant spiders, make giant spiderade."

Seriously, this thing is massive. I could probably make a small hamburger (spiderburger?) out of it.

So I ask of you OT, what are some fun ideas to do with a giant spider? (brimming with smaller versions of itself.)

Any upcoming events that could benefit from some giant spiderosity? What mayhem could be wrought by a giant spider?

I'm open to ideas.

ETA: also what kind is it?

One single drop of raid would take care of all of the questions that you have asked.

OP: My best guess is Dolomedes tenebrosus (Dark Fishing Spider) or a good size Wolf Spider. As to what to do with it, go put it back outside somewhere away from the kids.

Bring it into your home, earn it's trust, then train it to kill your enemies.

Wolf Spider

Like a Charlotte's Web type?

Are they poisonous?

I'm kind of surprised my kids didn't freak out and actually caught it.

Stuck the black widow spider caught the other day in a jar - she's still kicking along.
