It would help those going to and from Lafayette and New Orleans, but it wouldn't solve the problem of those coming from I-12. It would help those working at Dow who live in the AP, though.

A few problems is that it would have to cut through: 2 massive wetlands (pretty much illegal thanks to mitigation costs, the EPA, and Army Corp of Engineers stupidity), 2 sewage treatment facilities, Brusly, and Gardere.

I would also like to see another route to go north parallel to LA-1 that would meet up with LA-415 in order to provide a second bridge over the intracoastal canal.

More ways for local traffic to move east-west thru BR.

Florida blvd or I-12 is the only option for nearly everyone.

Boggles my brain how Dallas built the 190(George Bush turnpike) through much mo richer suburban parcels than most of what our loop would absorb. But our leadership bends and takes it in the arse from the 500 homeowners who don't want it going through their property.
