I'd appreciate a way to cross an interstate in this city that doesn't involve the clusterfrick of a bottlenecked intersection.

Between Pecue's interchange and Valley St getting torn down, what's left?

And the last thing Baton Rouge needs is more reliance on the interstates just to get across town.

I have always felt that way. Having crossover traffic compete with exit/entrance traffic at all these arteries isn’t smart. It funnels traffic to a few cross streets.

We had a crossover at Millerville and still on Pecue. We should have had one where 10/12 merge. A flyover to get traffic over the interstate and not on College or Essen.

They should have left the one at Millerville and lined it up with an interior beltway using the Stumberg and Flannery corridors.

Coursey should have lined up with Jefferson Hwy. with an interchange on Airline Hwy.

This should have all been planned 50 years ago.

That's a BS excuse: they had already taken so long that the studies and funding were about to expire. So clearing trees was used to claim "start of construction".

They needed an excuse to save face on the delays, and not make it completely obvious that they needed to start work, but weren't ready to.

All the land in front of Woodridge is still owned by one of the Kleinpeter and is zoned for retail/industry.

they say they don’t want to build Interstate ramp access until Pecue is 4 lanes from Airline to Perkins. So that has to be constructed first.

Why?

Why?

Only in Louisiana could the "parties at be", ROYALLY frick this up.
Why could we not do the Overpass as Pecue is being widened at the same time?

Everything this state does is assbackwards

KLEINPETER, LEON R., SR. ESTATE

That's who your link says the owner is. Is it not zoned for commercial real estate?
