I recently applied for a job and have some concerns

Okay for one I know my credit score is in about 480 but I have heard of lot of people say that they may not run credit. My major concern is, I have on my resume that I worked for a Chiropractor for 3 years when I did not. I was actually a bartender during that time. I just don't feel that I could disclose that information to any company if I want a job. The Chiropractor in question is actually a really good friend of mine and he is legit willing to vouch for me but will they see that there is no real record of that and then throw me in the trash or will they go ahead and contact him and verify? Also, will they see that I was a bartender ? The last thing is, do they or do they not do DRUG TEST? If so, what kind. I once got offered a job at a pizza place in New Orleans and they did a hair follicle test which came back positive for marijuana. The hair strand test goes back 90 days. After reading all that I've read, I am quite positive that it's going to be all bad for me with this job and perhaps any other. I haven't worked a regular job in a long time and a lot has changed. Seems like there is a system in place to keep those who are down, DOWN!

Wow this sounds pretty trashy, but all this depends on what kind of company you are applying at. Most places dont do hair tests unless you need some sort of security clearance. Notice I said MOST. There are exceptions. Hair follicle tests are way more expensive than a regular urinalysis. So if they are hiring people all the time, it's more than likely just going to be a urinalysis.
As far as the credit check, companies do run it. And will use it in their decision. I would just be honest about what got you in financial trouble during the interview and let them know you are really trying to work on raising the score and are committed to staying on the right track.
As far as previous work experience, they can certainly find out about previous jobs from your previous tax information that will be in your background check. This is the biggest thing I gathered from your post and you not being truthful about your employment history is going to be the reason you dont get the job IMO. The other stuff can be smoothed over in an interview. But, they already know you're a liar. Good luck.
