I don't think it was one of the prank call apps. They have been used extensively, and annoyingly, but sometimes hilariously, at work. What they don't do is block numbers. One on prankdial.com of a tree removal company ( LINK) telling you the city has mandated them to come cut down a tree in your yard. Find someone who likes their yard, is a little on the unintelligent/angry side, you pick the number (any number) you want them to get called from and push dial. It even records the whole conversation. Do one of the quick surveys and it doesn't even tell them it's a prank at the end. The recording goes off of the other persons voice, it lets them talk for a few seconds, then cuts them off. It works really well, actually. A few of them are relatively believable, some of them are just dumb.

I only explained that to say that if it was an app or something they wouldn't have blocked the number. I googled for that prank and couldn't find anything, unfortunately. It would be a good one. My best bet is it's one of your buddies fricking with you, or a crazy that knows one of your buddies and thinks your hot.

Have you checked the children?
