I was listening to Obama's BR town hall today. He mentioned that he would like to come back to BR to go see a LSU game in TS. I think everyone with half a brain cell knows he doesn't mean that and was just pandering (Ben Simmons much?).

But it got me thinking of what it would be like if he actually tried to go a game.

1. He'd probably cancel anyway with all the death threats coming his way for entering sacred ground and causing a security/screening nightmare for everyone.

2. If he was recognized during the game on the field or by the jumbotrons, the boos would be extraordinary. Probably an 80% jeering and 20% cheering/clapping.

What are yall's thoughts?

One of the best Presidents of the past fifty years come to Tiger Stadium for a game? I'm all in. Great publicity for the program.

It would suck because of all the security measures, tell him to stay home and watch it on the big screen.

I was at game 3 of the 2001 World Series when GWB threw out the first pitch. It was a great moment and something I won't ever forget. I would like to think the fans of TS would be respectful enough of the office to not embarrass themselves by booing him just because they disagree with him politically, but I imagine that's expecting too much.

The only problem I see is that Tiger Stadium is actually in NOLA, not BR.

John Bel got booed at a Saints game and he wasn't even in office yet. You're expecting way too much.

It could be worse. George W Bush could want to come and visit TS

Nicaraguan president Somoza was at a game in the late seventies and the students booed the hell out of him. This was just before the Sandinistas overthrew him.

Nixon attended a Texas-Arkansas game in the sixties. Would be easier now with suites and whatnot, but still a bit of a logistical and security nightmare. I'd hope most Tiger fans would show some class, regardless of who the president is if he decided to visit.

I went to the UL-L Oklahoma State game at Cajun Field in 2010, during the drilling moratorium. They introduced somebody in the pregame who at one point served the Obama administration, and when they said Obama's name, the sheer volume of the jeering brought tears of joy to my face.

He'd be up in the suites like Tom Cruise asking what just happened.
