Then, it is. Classroom mgmt is a huge part of teaching.

There's classroom management and there's dealing with openly defiant students who are going to be openly defiant no matter the experience, quality of the teacher/administrator asking them to stop.

The cop was called in because she was a "distraction"' to her class. The girl was on her phone and wouldn't put it away. You have students from the same classroom saying they weren't even aware of what she was doing. Some huge distraction right?

Stop saying distraction. I never said distraction. The LEO wasn't babysitting the classroom. The girl refused to listen to the teacher and the principal. That's why he was called. They were out of options on how to remove the student. Finally, she refused an order from the LEO. That's when what should have been a life lesson occurred.

Do you understand now or are you to distracted?

One more time, read more and post less.

They will probably end up as regular OT posters.

It's sad you think the only way a lesson can be taught is having your desk flipped, dragged out by your hair, and thrown like a ragdoll. Comply or get that arse beat, amirite?? Would there be more outrage if this was a middle school aged girl perhaps?

Are you retarded or do you purposefully misinterpret what people say? I never said she needed that, but physically removing her was the only option available.

Nah, not really. I've posted a similar situation one of my teachers was placed in and it didn't end in a firing, injuries, or national attention

We need better training for officers in school on how to handle those situations but in that same light we need to address how discipline is handled in schools. Especially when it comes to tying the hands of teachers and administrators.

Amen to all of that.

All of those students should be bodyslammed and dragged around the classroom. They were breaking the law by disrupting class! The irony here is that they committed the exact same crime the girl who was attacked did.

Where are the police when we need them?

be defiant (which is legal), get it on youtube (which is legal), and get paid (because you were beaten illegally)

sounds like a sweet setup.

to bad cops can tell when they run across one of you whiny anti-cop shitheads who always assume the worst about them, then they could respond slower when you need them

I'll protect myself, thanks. Can we go ahead and slash police spending by 75% -- we can keep on the truly elite officers who do a fantastic job. Pay them well. And get rid of the rest of the thugs in blue.
