I cant believe your picking Hogan's side, did you listen to the interview?? white people always claim blacks get mad when people say the n word, do you know how many whites I know that use the n word?? close to 70% who complains? no one, only thing that is asked is don't use it as a word attack and don't use it in public!

He wasn't fired for that radio interview. It was this, which just came out today from the National Enquirer.
LINK
quote:
"I guess we’re all a little racist," he crowed on the tape, multiple sources have confirmed exclusively to The ENQUIRER.
Despite his TV image as a born-again Christian, the tapes prove that Hulk is a very different man off camera!
In a startling exchange, the 61-year-old told Clem – who he sued for invasion of privacy after their XXX tape was leaked to a website – about his frustrations with blonde bombshell Brooke, 27.
"She is making some real bad decisions now," Hulk said, sources tell us. "My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.”
The bitter bodybuilder continued, "The one option Brooke had, Brooke’s career besides me, is [to] sell beach records."
At that point on the tape, the former "Hogan Knows Best” star bemoaned how a "black billionaire guy" had offered to fund her music career.
He also attempts to use bizarre, twisted logic in an attempt to justify his bigotry at the man.
"I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son," Hulk raved, the sources add.
"I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n*ggers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever."
According to sources, he said: "I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n*gger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n*gger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!
"I guess we’re all a little racist. fricking n*gger."

But Vince & Booker can say it on national TV and there's no repercussions.
Hogan says it, it gets recorded and publicized , and he gets hammered?
Not saying what he said was right. However I'm of the personal belief that you've gotta cut some people a little slack on what they say when they're enraged.
So 70% of whites say this word. Where's your statistic for how many blacks that use it? Gotta be close to 90%.
Ohhhhhhh but it doesn't help your post. Ahhhh

My point is...
If a word is bad, it's bad. Period. No matter who says it.
You can't crucify Hulk for it and not hammer Vince or Booker for saying it on their own television program.

Good lord if you think the context in which Booker and Vince said it is in any way, shape, or form the same thing as this racist rant HH apparently went on about his daughter, then you have more than a couple screws loose.
FOR THE BILLIONTH TIME, ITS NOT ABOUT THE INTERVIEW WITH THE DJ.

quote:This doesn't sound accurate unless Hogan already won a judgment and the case is on appeal. I could be wrong as I know nothing of the suit between hogan and gawker, but it just seems incorrect.
It's that this type of suit in Florida requires the defendant to hold the $ being sought in the suit in escrow.

Well Jcole, until I see further evidence I've got nothing else to go on.

Has anyone here even heard the interview? I heard it this morning. It was totally harmless. Hogan was recounting some stories about him hanging out with Lil' Wayne in the clubs in Florida. How Lil' Wayne and some of the other rappers would call him n-word, and then he got caught up in it and started using the word back at them. It was a group of buddies clowning around and was no big deal to them. Also brought up his stories with Booker T. He made the observation that why is it wrong when one race says it but not the other, he just didn't understand. He basically voiced an opinion of what many white people think, bad to say it in public, ok to say it when hanging around with black friends, black friends don't care and say it right back to white friend. The whole thing is confusing and he was just commenting on his experiences with it in an interview that happened 3 years ago.
Hogan really didn't do anything wrong here and I don't understand the stance WWE is taking on this. Creating controversy when one does not exist. If they don't scrub their website nobody is talking about this because it is a 3 year old interview.
The Gawker lawsuit is probably tied into this. Maybe Gawker is going to release some bombshell in retaliation and WWE is getting ahead of the story.
Doesn't matter to me though, Hulkamania made the WWF/WWE, you just can't erase that history. Besides, WWE was dead to me after they eoligized the mass murderer/suicide coward Chris Benoit with an entire tribuit episode devoted to him all the while knowing what he had done.

The other 30% that don't use it are the one's who choose not to, lol I'm not even going to get into this, most of my friends are white and are respectful, I don't know any white teenage racist and I like it that way, can't wait for this generations racists to leave or something.

there is no evidence that it has anything to do with that interview, just pure speculation.

There's an interview and there's something else, look that something else up.

Say a word: erase whole career.
Drug and rape at least 30 woman: continue to perform comedy.
What don't you understand?
What other word could end your career that rapidly?

Well I agree with you 100%. No one is going to go after a black celebrity for using it. I really don't get how Vince has gotten away with it unlike a lot of white celebs.

I'm sorry but i don't view the national enquirer as credible evidence.
It's a tabloid for crying out loud.
Not saying it's not true but I will choose to wait until a credible source reports it

The OP should be updated with the Enquirer story and quotes so people will stop thinking it's about that radio interview from 100 years ago.

What about the time Andre called Kamala a "ni**er" and Kamala pulled a gun on him
or the time Andre was using racist language on the bus and Bad News Brown called him out

Its more credible than anything linking the firing to that interview, which is literally nothing but fan speculation.
believe what you want.
