I live in the suburbs in a very clean area 30 mins drive from the city. The people around me are educated and older with no real diversity

We all have jobs. Very little diversity.

Typical starter home subdivision.

Either young families in their first home or old people who recently downsized. Not a lot in between.

Friendly neighbors that keep an eye on my shite when I’m gone and who know I’ll do the same in return.

Awesome. We typically hangout in the afternoons 3-4 days/ week.

Retirees who are militant about yard maintenance.

They’re the people that you meet when you’re walking down the street.

They’re the people that you meet each day.

All of my immediate neighbors are fine. Two are new in the hood but are cool. Two more I've lived next to for 20+ years are get along great. We've helped each other out when needed, like clean-up after storms, taking care of pets when on vacation, cooking when they've been sick. That sort of thing.

Educated, somewhat diverse, I've seen all the ethnic groups. From mid 30's on up, very clean upper middle class neighborhood. Favorite part are the smoking hot mom's I see running in the morning. Best part of my day.

Only rude people are the Dot Indians. I wave and they don't seem to give a shite.

New build community with a lot of first time homeowners. From who I know, it ranges from educated (i.e. engineers) to blue collar construction baws. Majority have kids and are nice, hard working people. I would say it's pretty diverse, with Hispanic, white, black, and a few Asian/Filipino families.

I live just outside of the richest enclave in my city. Still a part of the same school district though. My neighborhood specifically is a lot of young families, retirees, and hippies. I swear every third house on my block has a Subaru lol.

Large plot/acreage owners. A few nosey Karen's around, but for the most part very quiet community of Austin refugees.

My next door neighbors are a 72yo couple. They both go outside and cut their house every 5 days. They are miticulous with it. But both have been great neighbors and drop vegetables off at our door that they grew in their garden. Seriously great folks

When we moved in, we were pleasantly surprised because it felt like a neighborhood felt back in the 1980's. All families sitting outside in each other's yard socializing and paying attention to the comings/goings of the hood.
