Let's clarify something here. What's the timeframe for a solution? If immediate, it would be by force.
If you want a viable long term solution, it would involve a cultural/religious change. Broken families lead to poverty/violence more than anything. THAT's the core issue. There is no fix for that money can buy that is permanent.

Inner city crime is down minus a peak in 2015. This is all a ploy to feed the privatized prisons. What about white supremacist crimes they are on an upswing why didn't he mention that?

Institute stop and frisk. Gives police the right to stop and frisk anyone in high crime areas. Would reduce the number of thugs carrying illegal weapons

If resources were unlimited, this wouldn't be an issue.
To address the issue, you have to at least consider IRL factors, namely the limited resources at your disposal.

I agree. The breakdown of the family has enormous implications, no matter your color or what area of the country you live from. I was an only child. Dad disappeared when I was young. If it weren't for my hard working, well off grandparents, no telling the the hell hole I would've ended up in. But most people in the country don't have that security blanket. Once a young girl has a couple of kids with no father in the picture, life is pretty much down hill, from an economic perspective. Not sure how you fix this issue other than handing out vasectomies and cash.

You really don't get how?
They don't sell drugs because they are legal in stores, they don't get arrested for drugs because they are legal so they don't go to prison at alarming rates, and recidivism slows.
It would have a massive impact.
It wouldn't fix the culture of violence, but it would definitely help.

I will say that the main argument (besides the whole human rights thing) is that this would increase std rates. Which would then have to treated with government healthcare dollars.
From my experience, the threat of having a child doesn't slow em down one bit. It's disgusting. I just had an employee (20yo female) excitedly announce she was pregnant with her 3rd child. I work at a fricking restaurant and this girl waits tables.
Not sure what's worse, the fact that she's going to have 3 under 3, that she makes less than 20k/year, or that all 3 kids are from different fathers.
frick I need to graduate, I can't stand associating with the dregs of society anymore.

I know many read the above statement and immediately think to themselves or think I'm specifying "blacks". But, TBH, it's poor people of all races. It seems every other day I see/hear some dumbass 19yo single-parent white girl with a name like Cheyenne profess "I loooove my baby!!!! I wouldn't change a thing!!!!"
We need a male form of implantable birth control. All kids/teens/young adults should be on it. Make it routine like flu shots.

So let a group of people that have proven to not have any self-control have access to legal drugs? What then will we do with the meth heads and crack zombies? They won't work, so will have to resort to other methods to make money to purchase the drugs. Seems like that would only make a bad problem even worse
