My brother is an addict. His marriage and job are crumbling around him and he can’t even see it.

Our dad went this morning to his house to talk about it. Brother predictably denied any problems, became enraged, and so on.

Does anyone have advice on how myself and my other brother (we’re both the younger brothers) can help? Thanks for any feedback or advice

ETA it’s sex addiction.

Don’t waste time and energy if he isn’t ready to be sober. It’s harsh but it will save you a lot of money, time, and tears

He’s got to hit rock bottom. Tell your parents, family, and friends to cut him off financially. No other way to do it.

He can see it. The addiction is more important to him. He won’t be helped until he wants help.

Depends on the addiction. — saw edit.

Lulz. You and your family should mind your bidness and let a squirrel get his nut on.

Oof. Be there for his family. Be there for him when his world comes crashing down. Don’t enable, but tough love generally alienates addicts more often than it helps.

Just out of curiosity, and I realize this will sound bad and probably be downvoted, but......is your brother currently being blackmailed by a hooker?

Not much you can really do except let him know that you all know. Don't enable him in any way and wait for it to get bad enough that he's ready for help.

Until then, it's a waste of breath and lots of money.

ETA: Sex addiction? Lol yeah, that's for him and his wife to work out...

Is he addicted to porn, cheating on his wife, spending their savings on OnlyFans or rub and tugs?

He should have brought him to church. It’s written that adultery is sin. He’s going to go to hell.

This would be a good time to quote the Half Baked AA meeting.
