no supplements, no roids, no creme or clear, just good old diet and pounding the weights.

Herschel Walker said the only workouts he ever did was his "ups" (push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups).

Genetics are a big factor. Nothing close to what people think now though when they envision a "ripped/jacked" dude

they are cut out mon-Thur and very limited on weekends. the diet has been uber clean during the week and nearly every meal on weekends save a couple dinners. Only back in the iron/shredded game for about 6 weeks now and the results are quite impressive. 6 more weeks and I will be texting the wife nudes.

44 inch chest, 33 inch waist, bodyweight exercises only. And that's with a crap diet. If I actually ate right, I'd be a freak.

The bro I work out with has double peaked bis. He keeps body fat low and is not on rods. It is mainly genetic I think. Probably 90% of bros couldn't get those arms even on roids. So it depends on the ind, but most of us not that big.

Probably with an impeccable diet, tanning, and lifting appropriately. Assuming around the age of 21-28...

Pretty ripped. It really depends on the look you're going for...typical bodybuilder, more like the physique guys, or the bigger power lifters. But, probably similar to this picture.

You just don't get caps and the lats that most 'bodyuilders' get. you won't see the leafy skin either.

YOu also don't have the recovery time that a bodybuilder has. You would have to watch your workouts really closely.

squat variations including single leg squats, one arm pushups, incline pushups, dips, a bunch of pullup variations. I do throw on a backpack with sand, so it's not strictly bodyweight. Sand is in zip lock bags that weigh about 3 lbs each. When I work up to 50-60 reps in an exercise without stopping, I add another bag of sand.

Depending on how many reps, It takes me from 20 minutes to a little more than an hour, and I work out 4 or 5 days a week. Occasionally up to 6 or 7, but rarely.

You can actually get really ripped with just workouts, a clean diet, and a simple protein supplement. I knew some competitive sprinters/runners that are in this category. Of course these guys are strong but none of them are throwing serious weight around in the gym.

You can also get really big naturally, I've seen some really big drug tested powerlifters. Of course none of these guys are really ripped and they don't care.

Now can you get ripped/jacked and huge, under 10% bodyfat while benching 350 and squatting 550 without special supplements or roids, for 99.9999% of people in the world, no.

I'm going to seem like a dick here, but I see this shite all the time and I finally had to say something:

It's regimen. R-E-G-I-M-E-N. No "T."

quote:

reg·i·men
'rej?m?n/Submit
noun
noun: regimen; plural noun: regimens
1.
a prescribed course of medical treatment, way of life, or diet for the promotion or restoration of health.

quote:

reg·i·ment
noun
noun: regiment; plural noun: regiments
'rej?m?nt/
1.
a permanent unit of an army typically commanded by a colonel and divided into several companies, squadrons, or batteries and often into two battalions.

Anyway, sorry. Dickheadishness disengaged.

funny you should ask. he'd never brag on himself, but our resident poster LSUweights is a natural bodybuilding champion with the following resume':
quote:

a 2 state, all natural, bodybuilding champion, and a trainer of 10 years. I also have 3 runner's up bodybuilding finishes.

here's his pic

i know it's hard to believe, but directly south of those chins is the product of years of dedication and sacrifice with absolutely no shortcuts taken.
