How old were you when you got your first cell phone?

Once I graduated college my parents bought me a go phone.

Freshman yr of HS so I could call my older sister for a ride home

After I graduated nursing school. Was one of the first purchases I made with my first paycheck as a nurse. I was 22, it was 2001.

Had a Radiophone cell phone for work starting about 1984-85.

When you hit the MS-LA line Eastbound on I-10 it became a glorified electric brick.

I was 17, my grandparents got the grandkids one for emergencies. That was 1995. Analog. We shared i think 100 minutes between 4 of us lol.

My sister is 13 now. She got her first phone, an iPhone, 2 days ago. Said she was the last one of her friends to get one.

I was 16 and I remember having a Virgin mobile prepaid slide phone. I had to buy the cards for minutes and texts. Shite was expensive (like 5cents per text) but that was the deal my parents gave me.
