The oldest living war veterans thread inspired this topic.

My maternal grandmother is 96. I'm sure some of you have one that is 100+.

Grandfather just turned 89 at the beginning of this month. Definitely not the oldest but I'm glad he is still around.

Unfortunately, most of mine are gone now. Sure wish I had another hour to spend with some of them.

Great Aunt. 105.

Taught school in Orleans Parish for almost 70 years. Lives on Perkins Road and I just made her stop driving about 3 years ago.

Sorry. I was just corrected. She will be 105 in October. But I'm confident.

Driving at 100 years old -- I don't know if that's awesome or crazy or both. Good for her.

My great Aunt T is I think 96 or 97 or so. She's a Buddhist, and I'm pretty sure lesbian also or was anyway. She spends her winters in Arizona and her summers in the midwestern town where she was a professor at university. I don't see her very often, but the last time I saw her definitely gave the impression that she's mostly waiting to die. One of her proudest accomplishments was founding the temple on or near the campus where she used to teach. She still does some work with it, but she doesn't want to get too involved or even get another cat because she thinks that she probably won't outlive the commitment.

She is an interesting lady though and still keeps relatively decent spirits considering. She comes from a line of long lived women.

Only made right turns. If you lived on Glasgow you needed to be careful.

3 of my grandparents lived into their 90's, one reaching 98. She passed away exactly one week before her 99th birthday.

Oldest living relative is my Aunt Virginia who is now 101. That's wild to think about.
