long story short, I took my break at work and helped a handicapped guy push his car up that incline on perkins near bluebonnet. got him off perkins and told him id give him a ride to the gas station, and when he was getting in, he ripped this whole frickin thing off (csb)

this is why you don't help people

looks like there are some plastic pieces that are completely broken and some little things where the screws thread in are gone. is this gonna be like $600?

I am really sorry but I am laughing at the irony of your situation.

This is EXACTLY the kind of shite that happens to me all the time.

i don't think so. just the whole handle and trim needs to be replaced. find an online ford parts OEM dealer and order it. details on truck, looks f150, year and trim?

It probably wont be that expensive. If I had to guess it's like a $60-$80 part plus an hour of labor. (assuming this isn't a BMW or Land Rover or something with expensive parts)

the brackets that push in to connect look broke.

i'd try a junk yard, or check to see if you can buy some of the push pins that were on it to connect the 2.

i bet the pins were part of piece, so junkyard would be cool place. should be cheap, and have push or u should be able to find some push pins.

shite happens, i have bad luck, so i feel ur pain, but mad props to helping the guy out. U sir are a good person, frick anyone who says to not do things like this.

Out of High school, i worked at Chrysler, so i've actually put that type of piece on a minivan

I was a painter, but would get loaned out every once in a while to trim.

As long as the metal piece that the handle actually bolts to is intact it should be an easy fix. I have taken this off on the drivers side on my 11 f150 and my 13 250 to hard wire my rader detector. are the bolts still screwed in the metal plate? a few closer pics may help. this is called pillar trim FWIW
