The Northeastern dominance is overplayed.

Northeast is like 20-30%.

Louisiana is around 20% last I checked

I always heard 25% -- definitely a minority

The reason it's so overrun w/yankees is something I read as a kid in a book called College Confidential. Rich yankees can't get into the Ivy League or 7 Sisters, so Tulane "saves them from the alleged horror of attending their state university".

Who cares? The talent that will be in Uptown and running on the Ave. will be epic!

I currently have two nephews and a niece there. All three from Louisiana and all three will go to Tulane Law School.

They also all three will move to the Eastern seaboard or the beltway and be defenders of the liberal agenda.

I will be the old backwards uncle that they want to borrow money from.

They won't look you in the eyes when they ask for it either.

They have done it all their lives and normally wait until later in the evenings on the weekend as they know I'm a bit easier after a few cocktails.

Oh I'll be back in a bit. Nephew calling me. Is it Saturday?

Why would they need to borrow money from you?

Seems like they are already pretty well off.

That's cute. You think your nieces and nephew's that are already enrolled at Tulane really care that you slip them $20 in their backsack on Sunday's before they head back to school.

I'd say the highest of any state is FL and you also have a bunch of Californians. D.C, Ohio... and then of course jersey and NY

If it was only $20.00 and I could kiss them on the cheek and wish them well I would not mind.

But apparently I have to buy cars, hookers and pay rent.

We aren't in 1955 anymore-these kids are entitled.

Well how about you send me your name and address and I will pass it along to them. Just in case they need something as most college kids do. Then get back to me in a month.

Yeah...you will think that's cute.
