How many of you have had professional photos done of you recently?

I've noticed the only photos I have of myself are some shitty cell phone photos taken by friends, generally at night at the bar and whatnot.

How gay is it to get some good photos done of yourself? I'm not talking about ones of you frolicking through fields on horseback or anything like that. Or should I just become friends with some of those artsy hipster people that bring their 3 thousand dollar camera everywhere they go and take tons of pictures?

I had one done at LSU while getting my masters. That was maybe 3 years ago and I never found out how to get a hold of it to use in business situations (linkedin type things).

I had someone paint a portrait of me in a 3-pc suit at the bottom of my stairs to hang on my mantle.

Surely you don't mean digital photography...how OT poor of you

Why would you want those photos? I like pictures to capture fun moments with friends and family. What the hell does a professional picture capture?

My linkin in pic is my head photoshopped on a really nice suit. Looks great and was free.

If that is what is necessary to get photos of me done then I'll happily pass.

Because that's what I have tons of already. Pictures of me holding a drink with my buddies at the bar. Or pictures of me walking around somewhere. Or pictures of me golfing. I just don't have any good high-res photos where I'm actually there to take the pictures with proper lighting and shite.

Had a family reunion in the fall where they lined us up for family photos from a professional photographer. I don't think I would ever hire one if it wasn't some particularly special occasion.

Perfectly normal IMO. Why in the world would you want it done "just because".

The best pictures aren't the ones you are posing for; instead it's the ones that capture the moment you're in

Capturing yourself in high-resolution and good lighting so you remember what you looked like 30 years from now is douchey?
