Not including the time required to remove the vinyl tiles, how long would it take to lay 400sqft of porcelain tile? 15x26' without any fancy cuts.

The tiles are 6x24".

I have two groups of guys bidding for the job.

Group A : 3 mexicans(age 20-35)
Group B: 1 asian man + 1 black guy(both 50's)

I imagine group A would do a faster job than group B.

No longer than a day to lay it. Another few hours to grout

It would take me about 5 minutes. It doesn't take long to call a few Mexicans.

About 400 minutes or 6/7 hours give or take. 1 min per sqft, this is basic math. Your 4th grade math teacher failed you. I'm sorry you grew up a retard.

I might have to rent them a wet tile saw. I was trying to see if I would need to rent for 1 or 2 days.

It could take twice as long to do that as lay the tile.

Tile over the vinyl.

Shouldn't you be more concerned with the quality of your job than how long it takes ?
