how long did it take for you to receive your new car plates

just bought a new car from Houston and drove it home to new orleans. wanted to find out from y'all who had similar situations how long it took to get your plates and registration in the mail. also, the amount to register the vehicle in orleans parish is ridiculous

In state deals is normally a couple weeks. I would assume that it would be a little longer since you got it out of state. Louisiana temporary tags are good for 60 days, not sure what you got from Texas.

think it was 45-60 days on the temp tag, can't remember at the moment. I do know that it should take a little bit longer considering the plates will be mailed to the dealer, then to me.
