How long can you be in the summer sun without burning?

It seems the amount of time becomes less and less as I grow older. I spent 40 minutes outside yesterday without a shirt and wearing shorts....and now I am a lobster. I used to do that for hours and only get a little burnt. Am I the only poor soul on the OT that this happens to?

I'm not a pasty guy, but not sunkissed either.
If the sun is at high noon and there's no clouds, I'd say I can go about 20-25 minutes before I'll feel it next time I shower, usually the shoulders, upper arms, nose, and under eyes.
At an hour I'll be pretty toasted, I'd imagine.
I honestly can't say because as I've aged I've been pretty good about sunscreen.
White people problems smh

I usually get one good burn in around April or May (Jazz fest)...Then I tan pretty well. Those 4 o 5 days following the burn are pretty miserable though.

You go to either of those countries and not only is sunscreen hard to find, it's extortion. It's like a tourism tax for all Anglo-Saxon tourists.

I can stay on the River from daylight to dark and just get a little pink that turns to tan by the morning.
I can be on the beach and get blistered AF in just a cpl hours it seems like.
Edit. I have dark hair and am not a super light complexion like a soulless Ginger or anything.

I'm too frickin white I can't make it even ten minutes if I get past 6 or 7 minutes
