re: How long before I should put dog down?

I adopted a 9-10 year old lab a couple years ago that has since had both eyes taken out (after numerous surgeries to save them) and gets 20 units of insulin twice a day. She is extremely well cared for now by my wife and me.

She wags her tail most of her awake time (only about 3 hours/day--she's old) and is a happy little booger.

The meds for diabetes and Cushings made a huge positive impact on her health.
