How is Tee-Mamou/Iota on Saturday?

Have some people from out of town for the weekend (leaving the area early this coming Sunday) and we are looking to take them for a chicken run or at least some authentic mardi gras culture. It seems most runs are on either Sunday or Tuesday. How is Tee mamou/ Iota on Saturday? Any other suggestions?

The chicken run is on sunday in church point. I haven't been in many years but it used to be really fun. We would hit church point on sunday then mamou and eunice on monday and tuesday.

Mamou has a real good crowd on Saturday. Usually start off at Fred's early and the street dance starts around 11 AM.

We have decided to try and catch the Courir de Mardi Gras in Iota on Tuesday AM. Is there a way to know the route of the run?
