I've lived here for seven years. I moved back from Texas. for elderly parents, ( husbands) big mistake. At first, our next-door neighbors were a couple that fought all the time. They moved and the home was vacant for a while. Now it's apparent that a drug dealer lives next door.

Across the street, we had a home that sold to a very extended Mexican family that migrates for work. At first, about seven cars were in the driveway. Now it's a whole new batch of cars and people. I think it's being used as a home for migrating workers.

I think parts are still rather nice, but it floods, and I suspect it will only get worse with all of the new neighborhoods around us.

I am planning on moving asap- back to Texas.

I would look at kenilworth, garden district, good wood, 100 oaks, Tara, Southdown. Even broadmore and Sherwood Forest are better options than shaneadorah

What is this, 1980?

Why anyone would buy in EBR or OP etc astounds me.

Why live in a parish/county where the shitheads run things?

It has flooded one time.. 2016. And that was only a very small section by Chadsford. The farther back into Shenandoah from Jones Creek Rd you go the nicer and "newer" it gets. The area around Bluewater and the area right behind Shenandoah Elementary are the worst parts. Bluewater has a limited amount of time before it's straight shithole status. But back deep in there close to Lake at White Oak is nice.
