How is HWY 71 and I-10 coming from Austin through Houston - any closures? Danger

I went that way going to Austin a month or so ago... I came back on 290. 71 seemed like a much more boring drive to me, but no major issues that I remember.

Use Allen Parkway to cut through the west side of Houston, I-10 is flooded and closed in that area

No. Allen was under 5ft of water Tuesday. It was the picture being shown here and elsewhere with downtown in the background. That would be a pointless detour. I10 in Houston is wide open. Ignore the fAggie

You should be fine now in Houston, it's all drained for the most part. Especially north of downtown.
