How does one go about joining a Mardi Gras Krewe?

If a person wanted to join one, how would they go about it? What about the groups like 610 stompers?

the Stompers have a try out
as far as joining a MG Crew, if you have to ask then they probably dont want you

As others have said, the stompers do a try out, but it's not all about dancing.
Have fun with that.
You can get into any Metairie krewe just by asking as they are all hurting for members.
Just kind of need to know someone or look for contacts on the websites for nola krewes. I know that Thoth has 1600 riders so there is some turnover every year, but you need to know someone to have them get you in.
Rex and those types will fart in your general direction so don't even consider it.
Have fun with that.

Some krewes are open to all, and you just pay the dues. Other krewes are exclusive and only accessible by invite.
