Yes there were plenty of nerds... there were also some "greek" type guys. It made it easy when the women were around for parties. I only talk to one guy that was in the frat when I was. I had a bit of a falling out with the new regime. Oh well it is what it is.

TKE is one of the 2 or 3 strongest fraternities in the nation; they have just sucked at LSU. It makes good sense because they have strong financial resources and support from TKE nationals.

Honestly man, we always had women over. We always partied in the house and had women over. We would get the Greek sluts from the few guys into Greek life and other girls that were friends with the other guys. Seemed like they like the low key situation and not all the upity bullshite. I fooled around with a Chi O at the time so they would always come over.

Lol, I knew a guy who ran TKE at Georgia just to say he did it and the second they wanted money, he told them to screw off.

LoL. I was a rush official at LSU one year and got to go around to the houses to monitor for infractions. We went into TKE and their were about ten dudes standing around along with a four piece chamber music group playing in the corner. It was beyond strange. W got out of there as fast as we could.
I swapped jobs with another council member after two days and ended up getting to drive the van that ferried girls around for sorority rush. Can't believe he gave that job up. It was the best thing ever. All those naive freshman girls excited to be at LSU. Ahhh to be young again.

They had a keg of Root Beer and about 10 dudes hovering around it when I went thru rush. During the speech or whatever the rush chair pretty much said no one was going to join

The reason TKE sucks is they have no alumni support and their house cannot compete with anoyone else. Hopefully this will help change the brand for them. I seriously believe if their shite got bulldozed and a new house was built a la Kappa Sigma style they'd actually have some success.
How many pledges did they get? Maybe some young money fr@ stars can change the brand

I was pretty out of the loop when this happened. Long story short, I met one of the sigma chi expats (he was a typical frat star) and he said he was a TKE. I was confused. Csb.

TKE is one of the largest fraternities, isn't it? LSU is the only school I know of where TKE sucks. I know at Tech and Nicholls and UNO and Southeastern they were dominant

Theyre still there while a lot of more "prestigious" chapters are gone, including mine. I guess they get the last laugh.

This thread got me to thinking about the time Ronald Reagan dropped in to the house when he was in town to speak at graduation.
Anybody at the TKE house when he visited ?
Any stories ?
