How did a business permanently lose you as a customer?

Years ago I paid Benny’s car wash to wax and detail my vehicle because it needed a good waxing but I had just had elbow surgery and couldn’t do it myself. I sat while watching them spray wax on then wipe it off. I paid them something like $75 or $100 - don’t remember now - for them to put my car through the auto wash then spray it down. I was pissed and haven’t spent a single dollar there since.
