Serious question Paige, do you think this describes you?
If so, how long and whatd it take to get you to accept that reality vs your made up "reality".
From what I understand BPD's have severe victim complexes. Just wondering how you overcame that.

Well it's easy to say I don't do all those things until I read a detailed description or my counselor relates certain behaviors to them. In which case he's right. So I think my counselor really got me out of denial

Happy Birthday, Paige.
Everybody has something. Everybody has a cross to bear. Nobody's perfect. Lots of people run around with no clue how to improve themselves.
It's good that you have a path and a plan. It's good that you have your work cut out for you. Living in a fog is worse than knowing the challenge before you.
Stay strong and never quit working to better yourself. That's what great people do.

If you start feeling crazy and like you're about to lose it, try posting some mirror selfies here. It will probably get you back feeling sane.

Most of the stories I hear are men who aren't honest with women. If my wife ran hot and cold and didn't take responsibility I would have never cared about her.
I don't believe it is made up at all and the stories you have heard of probably wasnt due to BPD. My ex was diagnosed by a psychiatrist.

Dated one for a year. I was the best thing ever one day and the worse person the next. On a pedestal then lower than a snakes dick. Walked on egg shells and never could do enough to make her happy. Way too much effort and work. Loved her to death tho!

It's funny how so many people relate the same story over and over when BPD comes up, but it's somehow fake

Again, the same sad story
Thanks, fest

Thanks for the compliment.
It's sad, really. Just about everybody has some personal problem or condition that threatens to defeat them. Hardly anybody will admit it, though.
Buddhism teaches that Life is Suffering. I'm not really a Buddhist, but, there's a lot of truth in that.
It's great that you have a plan to attack this problem. No matter how many times you have a setback, don't quit attacking the problem.

don't know much about BPD. Had a female friend who was deep into intense therapy. Took her out to eat one night and she explained what it was like. She was very vulnerable emotionally and cried several times. But she felt she was making good progress.
