Houston Uverse Outage...

Anyone having issues with the "Network Outage" that AT&T is having, right now?
Customer Service folks don't seem to know what the heck is going on. They just say, "Give me a number and we'll call you when the outage is resolved."
Phone, internet and TV. My alarm is through the phone line...

Got home about the time you posted this and had no signal. I unplugged the power cable to the wireless box, waited 10 seconds, plugged it back in, and I'm good to go.

Out for me. I tried resetting and unplugging the modem and the WAP. No go.

This is my first go round with Uverse. No real complaints so far, but if what these haters say is true, that most be why they are basically giving it away.

My U-Verse wouldn't work and I would report the outage. The most common response was, "Well, we don't see anything on our end. It should be working."

I've had UVerse for years now. No issues at all. Stable service, but then again I don't live in suburbia Houston, so I can't speak for them. I'm sitting on double internet speed, Free HBO, Free Cinemax, and Free Showtime for a year just because when I moved in November I stuck with them instead of Comcast.

Have UVerse in NOLA. Have had for a month. Have had two problems.
First time it was an 8 hour network outage. They provided no information during it. Afterwards, they blamed a power line going to a main node that failed.
Second time, I was having intermittent issues all day long. They sent someone out that afternoon and replaced the modem.
No complaints otherwise.

It was spotty AT BEST where I lived. There were days, too many to count, when it just wouldn't come on at all.
It wasn't that fast, it hardly worked, the equipment was crap (went through multiple modems and routers in one year), and customer service hardly ever knew what was wrong.
If it works for you, then bravo. The product is crap here.

Again : OP says Houston. The alternative is Comcast which is one of the worst service providers in the country

This was the first issue I had with them, and I did get a call this week saying service would be interrupted in order to update the phone system, but it was only supposed to be the phones and for 2 hours. I assume this was that planned outage, and they underestimated the impact. Went out at 10:00am and came back at 4:30pm. I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't working from home.
I'll never go back to Comcast.

Never had an issue with Uverse in the past 4 years. Maybe I'm lucky
