If you had an offer in both cities, which would you choose and why? Living in either River Oaks or Buckhead.

Toss up.... Houston is a little closer to home.

ATL is closer to other cooler places to weekend at.

And anyone that says neither - I hope they don't live in BR or NOLA.

Atlanta. The climate alone is a big enough difference maker. You can get to the Atlantic or the gulf within a reasonable drive and you're 1 1/2 hours away from the mountains. Traffic, food, airport/ease of travel are pretty much a wash. I would live Inman Park, Virginia Highlands, or Midtown over Buckhead though.

Why leave Austin? Only reason I would leave it for Houston or Atlanta would be if I really wanted to watch MLB games in person.

better everything, you have a little of everything pretty easily accessible, mountains, the ocean, four seasons, etc, and still pretty easy to get back home to LA
