It is your basic political intimidation and bullying. Which is funny because on the mayors facebook page she just posted some bully prevention thing yesterday.
She is just worried her feel good pet project will get destroyed. She is at the end of her term and there are term limits, so she tried to get this through before leaving office. She can't let it get on the ballot because it will crumble when voted on.

I heard this morning that she went after all of them, no matter if they were black, white or whatever. A lot of them probably helped her get elected, too.
