Anybody else have this problem? I keep a pretty clean house. Seemed to have happened almost over night. I killed about 30 of them the old fashioned way. Any advice about getting rid of them ?

I'm assuming you are talking fruit flies. frick those things. You can kill 30 and think they're all gone and then the next time you start cooking they come out of nowhere. They are extremely hard to get rid of.

Probably a dead animal under your house or in the walls and you can't smell it...yet.

ETA:

I'm talking real flies. Fruit flies are a different story.

Get some bats and let them loose. You won't even remember a fly problem any longer.

This happened to me a few weeks ago

At least 100 of them in my apartment out of nowhere

What I did was turn off the lights and open the blinds on one window. They all migrated to that window and I got out my vacuum and sucked them up one by one

My apartment maintenance got an exterminator to come in after but he found no nest. They think the flies hitch hiked in through my trash can and perhaps laid eggs in that. We have valet trash service so I leave my trash can out at night

Also last week my neighbor left her trash can out for the night and valet trash never came that night. I left that morning and I saw maggots crawling out of her trash can and all over the ground.

Mix a little bowl of vinegar and dish soap and leave it out where most of them are.

Dead mouse under refrigerator.

It's too late to do anything about it now, just let nature take its course.

Mine were house flies and they were huge. I thought they were hornets at first. Here is a pic of the ceiling

I second the bug-a-salt. Just got one and wrecked shop on some flies, a spider, and a yellow jacket.

Saw about 50 flies on a pile of dogshit in our yard. Hit em with wasp spray and not a single one got away. Felt like a fricking hero

Little cups of red wine on the counter top and other places they are. Will find a bunch floating in a couple hours
