Military stuff - It's the first or second thing out of his mouth. A lot like Walter Sobcheck on the Big Lebowski.

My son and a bunch of friends were riding around the neighborhood and causing a little mischief and probably making some noise. He stopped the truck and - basically threatened all the kids whilst talking about how he and those like him died for our freedoms, etc. He is, to put it kindly, prone to exaggeration.

Just like Walter - My buddies didn't die facedown in the mud... blah blah blah

He is literally that guy. And when calms down, he talks like he is speaking to a mental patient, very calm, measured - like I have no idea why you think I would blow up like that....

My kids were little freaked, but laughed about it later. People who work at the hospital know how he is...

His facebook post is unreal. How does someone in any sort of higher up position think that is acceptable to post on the internet. I can't believe he actually posted that buying gas there will "be used to kill you and your family one day."

Well - he was successful before from his TV station, so he has done very well for a very long time. He does a lot of "bartering" where he will pay vendors in kind with advertising, production, etc. He was also an investor in a very successful motion picture that made him and lot of others in Houma a lot of $.

Also - it is not like he paying a ton for on-air talent

Back in the day HTV had a legit news show, awesome cooking show, fishing shows, etc. Now its mostly just his call in show, religious shows, and infomercials. The only good thing that was there before that is here now is "The Beat". Houma should have a local tv station, but we deserve better than this shite. He just bought a historical building in a prime spot downtown for the station with awesome outdoor views he could use for news shows, morning shows, etc., but he chooses not to take advantage of it. The whole station is a joke.. the only people who watch it now are down the bayou folk who can barely speak english, cause they get to call in and bitch about the same issues that they're pissed off about every fricking day. AND to top it off, no one can compete with him cause he has the cable networks locked up around here, they can't air any other stations from this area.

I have been following it. Makes me laugh how stupid Martin Folse can be sometimes. And the worst part is, that the idiots in Houma will actually listen to what he has to say because some people actually think he is a celebrity.

He has his own street in the back of Barrios (sp), literally named after him, and has never been married...came close recently, but one of the two called off the engagement.

Was it discovered that one of the two involved in the engagement were homosexual?

Yeah, he poured money into renovating it, including adding apartment space for his staff.. it just had so much potential.. the station honestly has potential, it just needs someone with an idea on how to build a news station.

Just saw this by the way in that article:

" Kelly McBride confronted him about the most recent gas station debacle, he dismissed her accusations, asking her where she was from. He then scoffed at being scrutinized by a foreigner from the exotic land of Tampa, Florida who “obviously doesn’t know our culture here.” He then likened his flagship program, Bayou Time, to The O’Reilly Factor because Bill O’ Reilly spends his show getting prank called by teenagers and listening to senior citizens complain about drainage."

I'm so glad this arsehole never procreated
