Do Hotels give you a crappy room on purpose when you book thru discount websites like Priceline. Seems like every time I book a room, it's farthest from the elevator and ice machine, the TV and HVAC doesn't work, has a view of a brick wall, the desk persons are rude, and valet parking takes forever.

Do they do this on purpose because you booked with Priceline/Hotels.com/Orbitz, etc????

Marriott Points, bro. They treat you awesome when you're a member.

deadend jobs, even at nice /name brand properties like hilton/marriott you get an annoying desk person sometimes

tv/hvac not working is just bad luck

yeah pick a brand like Marriott, they are good about points, free nights or Hilton and stick with them

No, the valet has no idea how you booked the room. With that being said you most certainly will be moved or bumped to a lesser room for a rewards customer.

Why yes. There is a secret database of Priceline customers.

Most desk personnel will be more accommodating if you simply threaten to kill them.
