I am booking rooms for a convention in July in the quarter. From the pics on the webz, the Hotel Mazarin looks like a pretty nice place in a pretty nice location...

has anyone stayed there?...decent or no?...

Stayed there last weekend. Its an older hotel, but still nice. They have a great breakfast and not terrible beds. No room service, but its not necessary due to location.

This. Patrick's Bar Vin is a cozy wine bar connected to the hotel. I've always enjoyed my time there. Can't add much for the hotel itself.

nah, I won't need room service, as I will be pretty much eating every meal with others that are attending the convention...my main concern is that it is pretty quiet and that the air conditioners work ok...

if the place and rooms look like the pictures that they show on the internet, it will all be just fine...

Oh, the AC is important this trip? You should've said so. Stay away.

Or be a normal person and assume the AC at your high prices hotel will probably work barring disaster

For bring basically on Bourbon, it's very quiet. Most importantly, get room 504. The AC worked great in that room last weekend. Weird shower though.

that would actually not be a good assumption, in my experience...I have typically stayed at the royal sonesta in the past and have found it typically to be both noisy and unable to get the rooms to a comfortable temp...
