Gimme what you got from real life experience if you can. I'd rather not spend over 4000 total, cause I'm paying for the wedding too. nb4otballers

All inclusive, tropical, no cruises.

1st question is when are you going to go? That plays a huge roll

We did Costa Rica for 10 days for $3400 for airfare, hotel stays, all of our tours, and all our transportation around the country. Stayed in 4 different parts of the country (San Jose, volcano area, rainforest area, beach area) and had an amazing time.

Not all inclusive though.

Thailand, although to do it on $4000 you would have to find a killer deal on flights.

I can't recall what we spent, but shite is crazy cheap once you are there. We did 24 days total with a 36 hour layover in Beijing en route there so we got to see Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City, etc and then had an 18 hour layover in Beijing coming back and got to see the Great Wall.

Twas a great trip!

Bad time to plan a trip in the Caribbean....hurricane season.

Although rates will be cheaper for that reason.

Better get good trip insurance that will cover for y'all to be evacuated off the island if things went bad.

You could always seriously consider postponing the honeymoon until better weather for the location you want.

We did that (married in Oct which is rainy season in CR) and it still felt like a honeymoon and we still had an amazing time.

We did that. Married in March, waited until late June to go to NW Montana...

People warned against it, saying we'd be dying to go on a trip right after all the wedding BS was over. I thought they were right at first, but it ended up working out perfectly. It was worth the wait.

Whoa never thought about that, great advice. Do you know what the costs of insurance would be? ballpark..

It was for us as well. Also...after all the excitement from the wedding wears off you still have something to look forward to.

I'm sure your wife related to that one more than you though. Most women are a little down after the wedding cause all the planning and everything...and it's finally over. Bet it gave her something else to get in planning mode for the next few months.
