I had Old Republic. Same scenarios mentioned above. The guys they send out are jackasses. They tried to make excuses to keep coming back out to my home so I'd have to pay the service fee each time. Once they identified the problem, they said it wasn't covered under warranty of fricking course. Never again.

American Home Shield blows. I had a goddamn flame shoot out of the bottom of my gas hot water heater, and the idiot plumber they send out tells me it's fine. Tries to convince me Im better off with the 20 yr old heater bc new ones aren't made as good.
This is all on you as a consumer. We have AHS and we've used them probably a dozen times in 4 years. We didn't like the plumber they sent out one of the times but really like one from a previous claim. After the shitty plumber left I called AHS and let then know the guy was shady. They apologized asked if we like the other plumber and sent him out the next day. You have 60 days after a claim is made to make sure the work is done property. If they have to come out again within 60 days you don't pay another service fee. Squeaky wheel always gets the grease my friends.

Waste of money!
I totally agree except in his case where he's using it as a selling tool.

No it's not all on me. AHS sent the imbecile to my house and based on his report they refused to replace the heater. What I did was cancel my warranty and demand my money back, which I got. I didn't buy the warranty--it came with the house I bought.

My experience with Old Republic has been really good. I had one issue with one company they sent out. I called Old Republic and they sent another guy out that same day and he fixed the problem. I even got my service fee back from the first company. I can't speak for AHS but Old Republic has been well worth it.
