The alleged deception: Menards and Home Depot (HD) market and sell the hefty lumber as four-by-fours without specifying that the boards actually measure 3½ inches by 3½ inches.

I thought that was common knowledge. A 2x4 isn't actually 2x4.

Lol. Don't forget every lumber yard that sells dimensional lumber. 2x4s aren't really 2 inches by 4 inches.

would you also like to sue the brick manufacturers for making the brick 7 5/8" instead of 8" to account for the mortar joint?

I mean...aren't they?

I understand common industry standards don't require it to be actually 4" by 4", but if you're advertising it as such...

Holy shite this is retarded. Some jackoff who wants to get paid is all this is.

Contractors and builders know a 4x4 isn't actually 4x4. I hope they have to pay court costs for filing this bullshite.

It is milled down by machines and acceptable by either southern pine inspection bureau if Southern Pine or by its industry that regulates wood. Spruce also has acceptable spec's.

As Turin described it, all three men in the lawsuits wanted the lumber for home-improvement projects, got home and measured the pieces, felt they had been deceived and then turned to the law firm.

My guess is, these 3 guys have never built one thing in their entire life
