Hey seriously check out this site

Its a hiking/camping store in Lafayette. Their site is really good but they have a really cool break down of hiking sites in Louisiana and even include maps.

Kincaid Lake Trail has some nice views around the lake and some decent elevation changes for central LA.

the Azalea Trail is the longest trail system in LA
it starts in Woodworth and ends at Valentine Lake for a total of about 27 miles
its a nice weekend hike with some good elevation and creeks
you can make it shorter if you don't want to backpack/camp, there are plenty of road crossing so you can make little 5 or 7 mile sections
