Why the hell is the traffic this shitty on I24 around Chatanooga on a Sunday at 1:30? Stupid 4 lane interstates... build more lanes.
So freaking annoying... no accident, no construction..

Car has more than one seat. I'm not in the driver's seat.

That sentence made me think and eealize that I might go 6 months without driving on a 4 lane interstate. After having lived in SoCal and driving the 405 5x a week, it is awesome out here in BFE.

I drive in traffic every day in NC. This is bothering me today because I know we have 6 more hours of driving... eeeeeeshhhh.

Chattanooga traffic is always fricking awful, I lose my shite every time we go thru there.
Locals may have better routes but I would 86 it from places to live just bc of that.

Because always. Doesn't matter what time or day, that junk happens. Just like BR bridge traffic. I-24 is crap everywhere, someone dies on it at least once a week between Nashville and Murfreesboro.

I live in Chattanooga moved from Detroit so it is all relative as far as rating.
As for I24, it is a mess and I avoid it when possible. Live on the north side so rarely deal with it. I believe there is a multi year project to help widen / improve the flow. It certainly needs it

Just saw an bad accident on the southbound lanes on I24 just north of Chatanooga.
Looks like multiple cars. One hit a tree in the median and burned up. I imagine there were fatalities invloved unfortunately.

It will take 10 years to build more lanes. That is how long it took to widen a road on my commute to work.

There wasn't a single orange barrel or sign where a lot of the traffic was. South of Chatanooga. It's the interstate mergings and congestion mainly.
