I've seen that crap numerous times on here... It's absurd. People really just have no frigging common sense.

Can't speak for Hammond, but the ones around Lafayette have worked well, for the most part. Better than 4-way stops and red lights, that's for damned sure. I hate red lights.

Good luck getting that point across with the idiot drivers in SE Louisiana - truckers are just a slower moving nuisance thats in the way of the more important commuters lives. I tried to stay away from that area of town when I lived in Ponchatoula, I always took Morrison to the i55 service road. I went through the circles a few weeks ago in a rig and it wasn't half bad. Had some idiot trying to pass me using the right lane when I was going around the circles, but its to be expected in this area.

The two ramps coming off I12 to Railroad Avenue and the Club Deluxe interchange. Used to be hell going through there because of traffic going to/from Ponchatoula mixed with two insanely busy national chain truck stops.

I thought you were in Metairie yesterday. I saw a Metry Cab with an old dusty nut driving. The name painted on the side of the cab said "Rex." I saw that and thought to myself, "That explains why you are such a bleeding heart liberal and an incorrigible cur."

PS This is my Devil's post....666.

Pretty sure a couple have already flipped. Saw a picture online the other day, but can't find it. It was a car hauler.

I watched a car hauler hit the apron and it looked like it was going over.

I'll try to find the picture.

I've recently used a roundabout in another state and it was no problem. One thing was strange though, there were 2 back to back, maybe 1/4 mile apart, and both had different rules. One was a one lane roundabout, so just simple yield to one in roundabout. The other was a 2 lane roundabout and you had to get in the proper lane to exit the road you needed.

So you decided to exit to circle jerk. We didn't need to know that.

They work fine except for a lot of people don't understand how to use it.

Not really

most of the idiot drivers there have no idea how to traverse them.

Its not just in Hammond.

People don't understand how they work. its simple don't change lanes inside the circle. Whatever lane you entered the circle, that's the lane you exit the circle.

Walker will have-I think-either 3 or 4 within a mile or so of each other. Both exits and entrance ramps will have them. Then OLOL's entrance. So will Pendarvis at 447. I think the only intersections will be the two right near 447 and 190.

There's another one going in at Eden Church Road and Florida Boulevard. The rumor is the next phase of Juban Crossing will include a second access point that connects to either it or to Tate Road and Pete's Highway.

Also hearing a rumor that there are plans to put service road/exit ramps off of Pete's Highway that will mirror the Bluebonnet area on I-10.

What is so funny? My statement which is the what a driver is suppose to do or the idea that La drivers will do what they are suppose to?

That is why La can't have anything nice. Drivers are not suppose to pass any vehicle in a roundabout, but especially a large vehicle like an 18-wheeler or bus. There are also suppose to be signs up telling ppl that, but leave it to the LaDOTD to open a roundabout and not put the signs up telling ppl how to safely use it. So La has stupid drivers and an incompetent DOTD. I have seen ppl in Ukraine know how to use a roundabout better than ppl in La, and come to think of it the roads were in similar condition, but the women were way hotter, and better drivers.

Glad we can agree on something.

By all means we will al sit back and wait while you use the left lane to pass another truck going 70 mph when you are going a blazing 72 mph

I work at a chiropractic clinic in Hammond less than a mile from that exit.
Those circles have brought us a bit of business, and will continue to do so
