My family has a cat that went to the vet on Tues. He was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. We got a prescription to give him for 14 days. This causes him to pee outside of his litter box because urinating hurts and he associates the pain with the litter box. This am I noticed that he peed some blood. Is this a normal part of this process? No carpet so I can tell for sure. He will be isolated to a small area today. Thanks. Yes, I'm wiping up urine left and right.

not a vet (and they are going to give you shite for how you spelled it) but have had cat with these infections. Peeing blood is not uncommon.
Some vets give pain medication.

Have one now doing it, bladder cancer. Did they take an xray?

Wife's cat has had infections before. She said the blood is not normal and it sounds like it's gotten worse. She said you may need stronger meds . Which medication and how long had you been giving it?

There's also a proper diet for UTIs, also.
I think the blood is somewhat common, but keep an eye on him.

One of my cats had a UTI recently. Vet gave her an antibiotic injection that stayed on board for 2 weeks or more (no pills thank goodness). She, too, peed outside the box and continued to do so for about 2 weeks. Vinegar and water in spray bottle is good for clean up.

The antibiotic should have started to work well at this time, so you shouldn't be seeing blood. I would call vet and ask about it.
Not a vet, but know about microbiology. Cat may need a different antibiotic depending on the causative organism.
