Red Rock Canyon is a quick drive and a decent place to clear your head and get away from the insanity. Same for a Colorado River/Hoover Dam raft tour.

Prepare to spend loads of cash. It's a place designed to part you with a ton of your money. As long as you can accept that, gangs away.

Check out Fremont St. The mob museum is supposedly cool, too.

Why 5 days? Just a get away? Family or friends?

Yeah, by the third day I'm usually fried and ready to head home. I suppose that's because all I do is drink and gamble.

Work has a seminar there. So, 5 days isn't my choice.

In that case maybe take a day or two and do some things outside of the city (hiking, golf, etc). You're gonna be burnt out if you do the Strip every night.

Fun as shite for a couple of nights though

I usually end up there 5 nights at a time. Fly out Thurs after work. Go hard thurs, fri, sat night. By Sunday sleep schedule is totally out of wack from being up all night every night so still go out but call it a night by 2-3am. Monday and Monday night is totally for recovery/rest, some good food, no drinking at all. Back to work by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.

I went there for four days/four nights. I averaged about 4 hours of sleep a night because it's non freaking stop there!! I had a blast, but was ready to head home so I could get some sleep

Rent a car and get as far away as possible as quickly as you can. Best bet is to go ahead and rent a car at the airport and head south. If you don't have a direct flight, consider just staying in the connecting city.
