For a while, our town cop pulled over every vehicle that he could from midnight to 3 am. Always the same BS, pull you over for speeding, swerving, failure to come to a complete stop. He’d stick his head right into the car window. If he didn’t smell booze he’d let you off with a verbal warning.

Taking a shortcut through the projects late one night, they just assumed I was buying drugs, took everything out of my truck, said have a good evening then left me there to put everything back in

Got branded as being a "smart ellec" sp?
Years ago, we had a smallish dog that kept getting out of the backyard. I'd gone to the pound several times to bail him out.
One night, he got out and apparently the dog catcher had been chasing him for a while. I didn't know any of this, but when I opened the front door this dog ran to me and jumped in my arms. The dogcatcher and a policeman was right behind him, the dogcatcher huffing and puffing.
I looked at the policeman and said, "There's not a prison in the state that can hold me."
Judge didn't see the humor of it at all.

I lived in Baton Rouge during the serial killings in the early 2000s. I was a white male in my early 20s, and drove a small pickup truck. I got pulled over all the time! Usually cops would ask a couple of questions, look around the bed of my truck and look around the cab and let me go. I knew what they were doing and was fine with it. I was always respectful and never had any problems.

Many times.
A. When I was ~25 and driving a borrowed Cadillac through a rough area of town I made an illegal left and was pulled over very fast. They implied it looked like I was a kid in the area to make a buy and I had to explain I had a sales job in the area. They thought the only reason a 25yo Yuppie in a luxury car was lost or buying for the weekend's party.
B. As a teen driver in a quiet mostly white town, the cops thought most young men were up to something and kept an eye on us and wrote tickets easily. They weren't wrong as we were always driving fast with a case of beer in the trunk and/or teepeeing someone's house. I got pulled over a lot when I was going 10 over. The questions weren't about going ten over.
C. One day the weather was bad and I was supposed to fly Dallas-chicago. I paid walkup fare for the train. Evidently a young man paying walkup fare last minute is a mule flag, and they were waiting for me outside my room when i came back from the can. They asked a bunch of pointed questions. After a minute I said "hey just look in the room guys". They looked in, saw my bag full of dirty clothes after a long business trip, and gave up quickly. Little did they know they found the kingpin of smuggling wrinkled brooks brothers shirts...

Yep, in high school we (a few white kids) were at a black friend's house in a part of town where we were the minority. We get said friend’s older brother to ride with us and buy us beer but before we get to the store we get pulled over. “What are you white kids doing in that neighborhood?” “Why are you white kids hanging out with an older black guy?” We knew they had nothing on us and so we answered all of their questions (of course we left out the part about beer). He called for backup, we let them search the car, I bet the cop thought for sure he’d find something, but they found nothing and let us go. I asked why he pulled me over, he said I didn’t use my blinker pulling out of the neighborhood….

Yes. I got pulled over leaving Tigerland when I was a freshman in college. Damn BRPD made me do the stupid human tricks and blow in a breathalyzer 3 times before they let me go. They could not believe that I was sober because my vehicle smelled like alcohol. I was one of the pledge DDs that night and one of the active's spilt a beer on me. Damn BRPD made me get hazed at the next pledge meeting because I was late picking up the next group of actives. F**k BRPD!

After reading this thread, some of you have allowed LE to walk all over you.
I was 16 and this was my car
Got pulled over entering the interstate by hwy patrol. Broke no traffic laws, wasn't even up to speed yet. Told me to get out, I got out, & he said he was going to search my car. I refused, he cuffed me and made me stand in the front while searching my car illegally.
This was before cell phones, but I had a small tape recorder for school & got some of the interaction on tape.
Once I was back in the driver's seat, of course he found nothing, & didnt tell me why he pulled me over, I told him you're done. He said my word against his but he had no idea about the recorder.
He got fired, and fined for perjury. I made $15k, & the law never messed with me again in the area I lived.
If I break the law, or commit a traffic infraction, I accept my punishment without word or incident, but I don't, won't, & never have/will tolerate the violation of my rights.

Yeah once when a Kenner cop asked me if I had any coke on me. I laughed because I was a poor AF college student at the time. He didn’t like that so he yanked me out of the back seat and found an empty beer can in my buddies car. Spent the night in lockup for that one. It’s miserable being thrown in the drunk tank when you’re sober.

I don’t think this had anything to do with being white/black.
So not profiling

59 South in South Texas coming home from deer hunting on a Tuesday driving a beat GMC pickup with another cracker. State Police followed me for 5 miles until I passed a truck and he immediatly pulled me over for returning to right lane too close to truck. Took him all of 30 seconds to realize we weren't mules and talked hunting for 5 minutes then see you later-bye.

Yes, I’ve been pulled over only 3 times in my life and 2 of those times I was let out of a ticket because I’m handsome.

I’ve been pulled over for no reason
Is that the same thing?

Yep, I drove the worst piece of shite Kia Sephia that was like 4 colors, got pulled over all the time. The cool thing about getting profiled and not doing anything wrong, you can tell them to frick right off.
Don’t resist, listen to instructions, and let them know a lawsuit is coming if they overstep their bounds.

Yes, as a teen driving a flashy sports car in a nearby town. Wasn't violating any traffic laws, but got pulled over and asked to search my vehicle. I rather consent to get things over quicker, so I let them and they let me go. I never made a fuss about it.

Come to think of it I dated a girl who’s dad was an engineer RSH and it was his company car. He loved that car. I think he had to turn it back in

In 1992, I rented a red Olds Achieva from Hertz in NOLA and was en route to DC to visit family all by myself.
I was driving Northbound on I-95 and had just crossed into VA when a State Police officer pulled me over.
He saw who I was and had me open the trunk and saw there was nothing up. He said the reason he stopped me was the car’s Florida plates and that I-95 was a drug corridor.
He let me go without any further delay.
