Idealism does have a way of getting gobsmacked by reality doesn't it?

I now see why they bitch about not having decent teachers in the inner city.

You get 3 months off, not including the holiday breaks throughout the year. Get a real job, loser.

You forgot to add all of the other breaks you get with the 3 month summer break. That adds up to almost half a damn year. C'mon man, shouldn't complain when you have that shite.

You shouldn't have got caught fondling those little boys in Beverly Hills and you would still be in a nice school.

I was. That's the reason I'm not a teacher.

Does Westgola in New Iberia count as inner city?

I feel like I could only teach at inner city schools.

I'm a teacher, I would love 3 months off. I take about 3 weeks off then I plan my school year, redo lessons, plan activities, go do personal development. Then I plan on my doctors/dentist visits on the so called breaks throu out the year plus summer. Yes we get days off but I don't take them. I teach for the kids and subs don't do anything with the kids.

We get all that time off but we don't get paid for it. We only get paid for the time we work. That's why I don't ever complain about my salary. I think it is pretty darn good for working 9 months a year. But don't go around thinking we get "paid" to be off during summer and christmas, etc.
