So, all the inner campus streets are going to become bike paths and parking lots are going to be green areas. At the town hall meeting today they said all street parking along Dalrymple and all inner campus streets will disappear to make way for bike lanes as early as Fall 2019. So no street parking. LSU Transportation Initiative

Three green lines will be the only parking lots. All those tailgate trailers are going to be have to be biked in, I guess. Can you imagine the parking issues for football?

I don't really see the outrage here. We should cater the day to day operations for 6 Saturdays in the fall? Will it affect football tailgates, I'm sure it will, but people will adjust and be fine

Inner campus is already closed to cars during the day. They have little guard shacks to let staff in but no students or anyone else.

The failing LSU is trying to get students to stop driving their toxic masculinity trucks and instead ride the cats bus and reflect upon their privilege or bike

F250s are still welcome at The University of Louisiana however

They can eat a dick.

My favorite parking spot was when the lot in front of Tiger Stadium used to be for students. Coach Saban arrived to work around the same time I was getting there for my 7:30am class, and we’d always give an awkward hello to one another. Good times.

Did you even go to LSU? Those spaces get used for much more than football gamedays.

all you got to do if you don't have this is to get a short piece of heavy iron beam and place it on the magnetic strip on the ground.

Did that all the time by the RNR building to get access to campus with my car

Parking is a cluster on campus as it currently is. Let’s take away spots!!!

At the town hall meeting today, they said they hope to start incrementally adopting the plan this fall by phasing out all B parking which is street parking. So, all the staff with parking permits along the streets would be moved to the commuter lots.

Was that before they gated everything with RF wands?

God forbid they do something to make it easier for students to get to class and relieve congestion around campus.

As a result of moving everyone to commuter lots will they just have one parking fee for students, faculty and staff?

They'll be taking a big hit as a B tag must be close to $250-$280 now.

commuter lots when from May to September it's 100 degrees with humidity and it rains every afternoon, but yeah, wait on the shuttle or when it's really cold and rainy.

Will it be grassy lots so all your shoes and clothes get all muddy

Just like everything else implemented, another disaster

Well it’s a good thing there is already ample commuter lots!

They don’t care about this at all

I remember my last year at LSU they taped off half the commuter lot by the BEC (where my final was being taken), during finals week because of a conference they held at 11:30, which meant everyone had to try to fit in half the space that people already struggle to find space

I was running late and ended up parking in a curb spot that people parked at all semester, only to come out to my car being towed after being there 45 minutes.

The lady took out a phone to film me whenever I started asking where I can get my car out from and refused to answer until she was in the tow car and pulling out

They said permits for all parking lots would be available for both students, faculty and staff. So, i guess that means 1 flat parking rate. Gated parking for faculty/staff is $250 annually. I'm sure it won't be that expensive...but who knows. It's LSU.
