everything normally goes dark and tingly then you kinda start seeing stars (somewhat like if you sneeze and keep your eyes clsoed) and it feels almost like I am falling backwards

I have, I tackled a man who had just murdered some people close to me out of a high window on a skyscraper. We both hit the ground and it just panned away in my mind..sorta like when you die on resident evil or GTA.

Technically it's impossible. As long as you're having conscious thoughts you're not dead, even if an event happened that should have been fatal.

Once.
In the dream, I was working on a lamp, and got shocked with a bright flash.
I had an overwhelming taste in my mouth similar to licking a 9-volt battery. I fell to the ground, and felt immobilized.
I saw my brother, who was an EMT at the time, walking down the hallway to my room. I tried calling out to him, but couldn't muster the strength.
Everything slowly faded to black as I lay there on the floor, knowing I was dying. Everything went black.
Woke up afterwards, but knew I had died in my dream.
Said to myself upon waking, "So much for that theory."

Been shot point blank in the face , 3 times over the yrs , same dream , wake up with my ears ringing, heart beating 140pm at least , no bull shite. Im at the store and it's being robbed , I just stand there and say please don't kill me and pow right in the face , has happend 3 times in my life . I'm 50

I have. I was delivering mail to a woman I received in error. I was asking where she lived to neighbors. Out of my peripheral vision I saw a gun. She shot me in the head. I fell to the ground and died. I am still living I think.

I was swimming in a lake and one of my friends dared me to go under and touch the bottom. I dove underwater and got my leg caught on something.
Slowly lost my breath and my parents woke me up. Told me I sounded like I was gasping for air.
That's damn close in my book.

I've died in a few dreams that used to pop up every so often.. One when I was younger was always the same.. I was in the military fighting in some jungle.. Best described as Vietnam, I would be killed and would watch the other soldiers bury me in a shallow grave from above.. I'd wake up about that time.
