If your cousins are from Alabama, then this type of behavior is prefectly normal. However, if they are not originally from bama (both being surgens says they aren't), then obviously the rape had a lasting impact on the mother, as well...and it's has driven her bat shite crazy. My advice, don't meet her. If you do, and she's really attractive, you'll end up hitting it and regretting it for the rest of your life!

Distant cousin marriage is not a big deal in the least.
Hell, cousin marriage has been proven to have virtually no ill effects.
The age isn't so much of a factor, especially on that end. It was extremely normal throughout history.
The mental scars are what would send up red flags for me.
